Aatha.

My grandmother passed away last week. I'm back in Singapore for the funeral. It is the first time I've had to deal with the demise of someone who is close to me. I'm finding it really difficult to sort my thoughts...I can't even figure out what I want to say. All I can think of is that my grandmother was a great lady and I miss her terribly. She lived a difficult and challenging life but she did it with grace and dignity. She was loved and admired by all...even those who did not like my family. She was the most loving, forgiving and non-judgemental person I have ever come across. There are times when realisation hits that she is gone and it's hard to digest...her memories and my big beautiful family are my best consolations. I love her and she will always be my hero.
