Quick Update!
Been really busy with uni assignments and I am currently doing my practicum at Upper Coomera State College...teaching year 10 and year 11 English, Drama and Transdisciplinary Studies. Many of the students come from pretty rough backgrounds and they are not really the most well behaved kids but I am enjoying the challenge...strangely, the notorious ones seem to like me and I can just see how I'm so going to love this job.
While I am perpetually complaining about the amount of work I have to do I really have nothing to complain about...lots of things in my life have been going according to plan and I just hope things stay this way!!...so what's been happening this last month???
1) We've sold our place at Pasir Ris Heights...beautiful house with fond memories. Family is moving to a condominium in Loyang.
2) I've gotten full exemptions on all my research components for my last semester due to the research projects I did during honours! This means I've saved AUS$5000 and I only have to do 2 modules next sem and hence, I can start working part-time.
3) I got awards from the vice-chancellor and dean for my academic performance last semester...will put pics up of the awards ceremony soon.
4) Big plans for Deepavalli..going to temple and having lunch and dinner at Brisbane...hopefully I'll find time to do a write-up on what happens.
5) Been going going for driving lessons...I think I can do it by the end of this year!!
6) Magpies which nest outside my house have been attacking me. Quite traumatising...feeling very bullied by birds!
take care everyone and have a blast for Deepavalli!
cheers,
Kartik
