Where's my treat?
Happy Halloween!..now who ever said that it is not a popular festival in Australia? Saras and Kartika had to feed six batches of nearly 20 'trick or treating' kids this evening with cookies and sweets.
I'm not at all for Americani'S'ation but I welcome the infiltration of this tradition..things like this add spice, excitement and fun to life..when acculturation breeds positivity, it can't be bad thing right? Besides, Halloween traces its origins to the Pagan New Year and has the same significance as the Chinese hungry ghost festival where spirits of the dead come to revisit the living...so it's not entirely a commercialised western invasion.

I can't believe I've still not been called up for the Bollywood movie I auditioned for - as an extra!!! How embarrassing...last time I'm ever doing anything like that...grrrr<; Kartik

Emily: hehe...yeah according to Saras and Kartika the kids were cute...but some morons threw eggs outside my house!
